シン：はい、ヂキボさんですか。

-       Yes, Is this Ms.Dikibo?

ディキボ：はい。どころで、いっしょになんかたべにいきましょか。じかんありますか。

-       Yes. do you want to eat something together? Do you have time?

シン：すみまさんが、ぼくはいまじょっといそがしですね。あしたテストとペイパがありますよ。じつはいまぎぶんがよくなくてぜんぜんなにもたべたくないですよ。

-       I am sorry, but I am little busy. I have a exam and a paper due tomorrow, in fact, I don’t want to eat anything because I don’t feel good.

ディキボ： どおしてですか。

-       How come? Something wrong?

シン：昨日のテストはながくてむずがしがったです。それで しゅくだいがだくさんあるからうちでべんきょうしなげればなりません。アルバイトもあてだいへんです。

-       The exam I took yesterday took long and was very difficult. In addition, there is too much homework so I have to stay home to study. And also I have a part time and it is really terrible.

ディキボ：あ、そおですか。, それはだいへんですね。. シンさん. じんせいは むずがしくてだいへんです。.でもともだちがいるから がんばてください。それではMr. Sunshineといっしょにうたいましょうか。

-       Oh really, It’s tough. Mr. Shin, Life is tough and difficult. But you have good friends, cheer up! Now, let’s sing with Mr. Sunshine.

ぼくのまち（僕の町）

僕のまちはかんこくのソウルのなかにあります。

まちのなまえはブンダンです。

ブンダンはあたらしくて、おもしろいまちです。

キムスクラブ（ Kim's Club)があります。そして　ロッテデパートがあります。

ぼくは　よく　ともだちと　かいものに　いきます。

 
ブンダンに　イタリアりょりのレストランがあります。

ぼくのりょしんは　このレストランが　すきですから　たいてい　たべに　いきます。

まちのなかにあかくて、あたらしいカフェがあります。

ここでともだちをあいってエスプレソをのみます。

まちにタンチョンもあります。なつやすみにここでよくバスケットボールをしました。

たいてい　おんがくをきいて、ジョギングをします。

こんしゅうの しゅうまつ、なにを しますか？

Hiragana ver.

こんしゅうのかようびともくようびにテストがありましだからきんようびにけいそくうちでねました。どようびにフットボールゲ－ムがありましだからぼくのうちでともだちとみました。そして、セオさんとメキシコのりょうりをたべました。

でも、らいしゅうのげつようびとかようびににほんごのテストがあります。そして、ファイナンスのテストがあります。それから、とようびのばんからにちようびまでとしょかんでべんきょうしましだ。

今週の火曜日と木曜日にテストがありましだから金曜日に計測うちで寝ました。土曜日にフットボールゲ－ムがありましだからぼくのうちでともだちと見ました。そして、セオさんとメキシコの慮利をためました。

でも。来週の月曜日と火曜日に日本語のテストがあります。そして、ファイナンスのテストがありまた。それから、と曜日の晩から日曜日まで図書館でべんきょうしました。

毎日の生活（まいにちの せいかつ）

みなさん、こんばんは。シンです。

毎日（まいにち）ろくじはんごろおきます。

うちでともだちといっしょにあさごはんをたべます。

僕のうちはアパートですから、車で学校へいきます。

毎日午前九時半から午後一時よんじゅうごふんまで授業があります。

きょうしつわデバトロホルとオシャナシホルとメンドザホルにあります。

にじごろマルチンス（Martins)でひるごはんをたべます。

そして、としょかんへいきます。

ごこでべんきょうとしゅくだいをします。

ごごろくじごろスタバクス（Starbucks)でコーヒーをのみます。

しちじにうちへかでります。

ときどきテレビをみたいですけど、たいてい僕のへやでファイナンスのほんをよみます。

うちでばんごはんをたべます。でも、よくたべません。

じゅうじごろシャワーをあびます。アメリカであまりおふろにはいりません。

じゅうじごろねます。

ぼくの 一番すきもの

My favorite part of Japan is れきし、espeically, the age of 戦国.
Daimyo,(大名), is powerful territorial lord in premodern Japan who ruled most of the country from their vast, hereditary land holdings. They were the most powerful feudal rulers from the 10th century to the middle 19th century in Japan following the Shogun(将軍). From Muromachi period(室町時代) through the Sengoku(戦国) to the daimyo(大名) of the Edo period(江戸時代), there had been countless daimyos rising and falling. There are very famous figures such as Takeda shingen(武田信玄),Tokugawa Ieyasu(徳川家康), Toyotomi Hideyoshi(豊臣秀吉), Oda Nobunaga(織田信長), and Date Masamune(伊達政宗). War is nothing to be fantasized and miserable part of human history. However I beleive it's useful to learn from how they handled and solved the imminent problem of survival.

The reason I am taking EALJ 10111 is that I had many chances to learn it but I never facilitate the opportunites.

My parents studied in Japan when I was very young, even though I lived in Japan for about two years, I couldn't learn any; once again I was too young. Still my father loves Enka, my mom loves Japanese food such as Nato and Umeboshi. While growing up, Japanese animation was very popular among our generation and I have kept my attention on excellent novels such as pieces by むらかみ はるき, TV dramas like のだめカンタービレ, and movies like Love Letter. The blog title came from a novel, which eventually reproduced as a movie and a drama, 世界の中心で, 愛をさけぶ. My favorite history novel is 大望, which is about 徳川家康、豊臣秀吉、and, 織田信長。I think I have read the books more than twenty times and deeply touched by 徳川’s endurance(忍) and sincere attitude of his life. I also found interesting that Japan has its own unique style of goverment. It still acknowledges the Emperor(天皇) while having prime minister. It is similar to the one of Great Britain but it is impressive that there has been no change of dynasty.

Unfortunately, during my first and second year in Notre Dame, I had to take Chinses classes instead of Japanese. I do not want to miss out this opportunity to solidify my basis for learning Japanese.
